MAKERS MARK HU BAR CRAWL
THE LARGEST BLACK BAR CRAWL IN THE WORLD!
The 8th annual HU Bar Crawl sponsored by Makers Mark is a Howard Homecoming staple! This national event attracts over 2,500 Howard Alumni, DMV Natives, and Friends annually from all over the globe! This event will take place on the historic U Street in Northwest DC. The event includes drink specials, open bar (specific locations/times), and souvenir giveaways. Locations TBA 48 hours before event. All events will follow current CDC guidelines and best practices.

HOMECOMING GAME
VS Tennessee state | 6th and, Girard NW, DC
Per the Howard University Homecoming website, the football game will take place Saturday, October 19, 2024 in Greene Stadium at 1 p.m. EDT against the Tennessee State University Tigers. All events will follow current CDC guidelines and best practices.

2024 BLAQUE MECCA BLOCK PARTY
METRO BAR DC
This tailgate/block party style event will take place outdoors immediately following the football game. The event will feature DJs, cocktails, food trucks, and socializing amongst Howard alumni and friends from across the country. Situated on an 11,000 square foot outdoor venue, and built inside a refurbished 5000-series Metro railcar at the Rhode Island Avenue Metro station, our multi- purpose bar, and cultural venue provides an arts-driven space meant to connect people across the community and celebrate DC’s rich history and culture.

The Park, as it is known locally, has developed a loyal following, and become a mainstay for after-work drinks, a festive dinner or brunch, gameday viewing or a night out with friends. Towering up four floors, The Park features rich wood walls, granite bar tops, and custom hand-blown glass lighting. Come grab a drink at any of the five bars or dine in comfort at refined artisan tables seated on cushy upholstered chairs.

Powered by Howard Alum, Joshua Mercer, we are your one stop shop for the ultimate Alumni & Friends Homecoming experience! Since 2006, we've curated some homecoming's most signature events, catering to thousands of Black Professionals from across the globe. For almost 100 years, Howard Homecoming has been one of richest cultural and social tradition's in America for Black Professionals (Not Just Howard Alum). Every year, over 100,000 alumni, students, special guests, and visitors take over the District and patronize the many events and attractions affiliated with the festive week. While events change from year to year, many of the traditional alumni homecoming events include the Homecoming Football Game, the Tailgate, HU Ditch Day Party, HU Bar Crawl, HU Masquerade Ball, HU Family Brunch, HU Hangover Brunch, and much more.
